We save the resources and energy of all The Cosmelt Process of LFL* is a pyrometallurgical process that does not generate any solid waste, eliminates all the impurities of the copper and minimises the environmental impact since it reduces the number of stages in the recycling process. While other industries require a total of 3 productive stages (through an electrolytic process), LFL draws together the whole process in a single stage, favouring the preservation of the environment. THE ECOCOPPER™ in our products

LFL supplies ECOCOPPER™ in semi-elaborated forms: wire rod, sections and drawn out. Furthermore, with our clients we design all the products where ECOCOPPER™ is applicable so that we contribute to creating copper solutions with the least environmental impact but with the same qualities and characteristics as products from a copper mine.



Our ECOCOPPER™ products are applicable in the manufacture of high, medium and low tension cables, cables for data transmission, control and instrumentation, cables for the telecommunications industry, cables for the car industry, current limiters, slides and strips, supports for superconductors, threads for welding metallic packaging, pipes for water, gas and heating, pipes for refrigeration and technical gases, copper sections, profiles and applications in electroplating.

		*ECOCOPPER™ products contribute to decreasing the carbon footprint The Carbon Footprint represents a measurement for the contributions of organisations to be socially responsible entities and represents being yet another element for raising awareness for assuming more sustainable practices. It endeavours to quantify the amount of Greenhouse Effect Gases emissions (measured in CO² equivalent) which are released into the atmosphere due to our daily activities or to the commercialisation of a product. This analysis covers all the activities of its life cycle (from the acquisition of the raw materials through to its management as waste), enabling the consumers to decide which products to buy according to the contamination generated as a result of the processes through which it has passed. With the ECOCOPPER™ production cycle being a closed cycle, the carbon footprint is 94% lower than that of the same product produced through copper mineral exclusively.
